Possible Update On The Location Of SummerSlam

August 4, 2020 0 By Tim Jarrell

WWE may have found a city, not Orlando to host SummerSlam.

SummerSlam is the biggest WWE event since WrestleMania and it was said that Vince McMahon wants to make this show feel as such. He does not want it to just feel like every other empty arena Performance Center show and not seem special. At one point it was reported that WWE was looking for a northeastern city to possibly host the event and they were having trouble in doing so.  Many reports since have stated that it really looks like SummerSlam will just come from the PC but there was a slight update on this overnight.

According to Dave Meltzer on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer stated that WWE could end up running SummerSlam from Atlantic City. With WWE not announcing anything last night on RAW, that would lead one to believe that no deal had been 100% set. It is interesting that WWE is having an issue as GCW held its Homecoming event on the pier in Atlantic City a few weeks ago. So unless WWE is looking for something more and different that could be why they have not come up with any agreement to run the show there yet.

If WWE is going to hold SummerSlam in Atlantic City they need to announce something sooner rather than later as they have less than three weeks till SummerSlam on August 23rd. One reason WWE may need to hurry up and announce this is because Meltzer also noted that Vince McMahon would like to have fans at the show as well. If WWE is going to sell tickets to SummerSlam in Atlantic City you have to give fans more than a week or two notice for the said event.

If we do hear anything further on SummerSlam possibly taking place in Atlantic City, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
