Multiple AEW Wrestlers Test Positive For COVID-19

COVID once again hits the wrestling world hard.

Earlier this week we have learned that multiple NXT wrestlers tested positive for COVID-19 and now we are hearing similar with AEW. On Wednesday Lance Archer revealed he had tested positive and now we know more have as well.

According to a report Sean Ross Sapp and Jon Alba, the two report that multiple AEW wrestlers have tested positive for COVID-19. They state that some of the talent involved were all on the last set of AEW Dark tapings earlier this month. if you watched tonight’s AEW Dynamite you can tell that a number of wrestlers were missing from the show.

Over the last few months, #AEW has by far had the most extensive COVID-19 protocols among any wrestling companies that chose to run during the pandemic. The conditions of how or where the virus was transmitted is not entirely clear at this time. Hoping everyone affected is OK.

It's entirely plausible talent were kept off this week's show for precautionary reasons, and didn't necessarily test positive.

But we can report there were multiple positive cases in the past couple of weeks involving talent who were present at tapings earlier this month. #AEW

No specific names were given as far as who has tested positive. The only name we know is Lance Archer as he went public with it himself on social media. If we hear anything further on this story, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
