Major Update On Tentative Plans For WrestleMania 37 In 2021

Will Los Angeles really get WrestleMania next year?

This year WrestleMania 36 was supposed to take place in Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. When the pandemic hit and everything shut down WWE was forced to run WrestleMania from the WWE Performance Center. It was announced earlier this year that next year’s WrestleMania would take place in the new SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. As of right now, California Governor Gavin Newsome is not allowing events to run in the state of California with crowds and a rumor has been going around as far as WrestleMania next year running in Tampa and then Los Angeles getting it in 2022 instead.

According to a new report from Inside The Ropes, they report that the tentative plan is for WrestleMania 37 to take place in Tampa instead of Los Angeles. These plans have seen WWE “lockdown” buildings in the Tampa area for WrestleMania adjacent events hosted over WrestleMania week.

Also in an interesting update to this story as well, WrestleVotes on Twitter reports that WrestleMania 37 coming to us from Tampa has internally been the plan of over a month now. The issue is that WWE has committed to SoFi Stadium in California and it now all comes down to who is allowed to move/cancel the event. WrestleVotes states that if there is a traditional WrestleMania next year, meaning a full stadium with fans, then that will be in Tampa Bay.

It is also to be noted that Spectrum News 13’s Jon Alba reached ou to WWE on this news and was given the following statement,

If we do hear anything further on this possible shift of WrestleMania locations, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
