Latest Information On The WWE Network Moving To Peacock

March 2, 2021 0 By Tim Jarrell

Many questions are still to be answered.

WWE announced earlier this year the WWE Network would be migrating into NBCUinversal’s Peacock streaming service for at least the next five years. They stated that the WWE Network content will be available on Peacock starting on March 18th but did not state if that also meant if that is the same day the current WWE Network platform will go away. Peacock has somewhat answered that question and others.

Peacock has added a WWE section to their website with an FAQ section answering a number of questions. regarding the March 18th date, it states you can start viewing the WWE Network on Peacock with a premium account starting March 18th but it will not be the exclusive home to the WWE Network till April. It states Fastlane will air live on Peacock and the current version of the WWE Network. Yet WrestleMania will only air on Peacock with a premium account.

When will WWE Network be available on Peacock?

WWE Network will be available on Peacock starting March 18 and Peacock becomes the exclusive streaming home of WWE Network in April. With an upgrade to Peacock Premium, you can stream upcoming live WWE pay-per-view events, including Fastlane* on March 21 and WrestleMania on April 10 and 11.

*Also streaming on WWE Network

Regarding what you need to do as a WWE Network subscriber to switch over, it does not give any new information other than saying that you can use the current WWE Network app till April but does not give a specific date. It then says you can create a Peacock account starting March 18th to use that service from day one. No word if your WWE network account will just transfer over to Peacock, or if you need to cancel your current subscription and then create a Peacock account to not get charged twice. This really doesn’t give any real information.

If I’m already a WWE Network subscriber, what should I do?

Starting in April, Peacock will be the exclusive streaming home of WWE Network. Until then, you can keep watching directly on WWE Network, as long as you have an active subscription. You can also create a Peacock account to stream WWE Network on Peacock beginning March 18.

Note: WrestleMania on April 10 and 11 will only be available to stream on Peacock.

The FAQ also has a number of generic questions as well like stating all WWE pay-per-views will not cost you any extra charge as long as you have at least the $4.99 tier of the service. It also states that along with the WWE content you will also have access to everything else ready and coming to Peacock that is not WWE related.

Also remember if you have Xfinity or COX cable services, you can create a free Peacock account and then link your cable TV account to your Peacock account to get Peacock Premium for no extra charge. You can do so here.
