Injured WWE Superstar Reportedly Undergoing Neck Surgery

The Viking Raiders will be out for a while.

Last week on Monday Night RAW, we saw an eight-man tag team match and at one point in the match, Ivar went for a dive like he always does. As he landed the dive he went down and immediately threw up an ‘X’ sign to alert the referee he was hurt. WWE then sent out an update later in the night stating that Ivar had suffered a cervical injury but was expected to make a full recovery. Now it looks like Ivar is going to be out some time to recover from the injury.

According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Radio, Alvarez stated that Ivar will be undergoing neck surgery.

“Tomorrow, in Birmingham he will be getting neck surgery.”

Alvarez went on to state that Dave Meltzer recently revealed that Ivar has been dealing with neck issues for some time now.

With Ivar going in for surgery tomorrow, that would most likely mean that we will not see Eric on television until Ivar is ready to return. the one thing that can play into Eric favor is if they want him for RAW Underground.
