The new japan roster has taken a big hit.

According to New Japan Pro Wrestling, current IWGP Jr Heavyweight Champion Hiromu Takahashi has suffered a torn left pectoral muscle and will miss an estimated six months of in-ring action.

“After medical assessment, Hiromu Takahashi’s left pectoral injury will leave him out of action for an estimated six months. More information will follow.”

With Takahashi the current Jr. Heavyweight Champion, it is unclear what exactly will happen with the title while he is out of action. New Japan has not released a statement on the championship while Hiromu is out with his injury.
