Backstage Reaction & News On WWE Releases, More Possible To Come

It looks like today’s four released Superstars may not be the only.

Today we saw Sin Cara, Luke Harper, and Konnor and Viktor of The Ascension get released today from the company. We did get word from one source that more releases could be coming but it is unclear when they could take place. Some of the names rumored are not a surprise outside of a few. One person may have recently been saved from the list with certain things that got fans interested recently.

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, he states he reached out to different talent in WWE about the releases with one stating,

“It’s either a coincidence or next level f**king with The Revival that a bunch of people get granted their releases, but they can’t release them because they have a title match on next weekend’s show.”

Sapp also states that he asked about Mike Kanellis, who recently went public about asking for his release, and Sapp said his released still has not been granted. Kanellis is advertised for a northeastern indie event as he could be speaking at a seminar for the company and doing a meet and greet.

As far as possible NXT releases Sapp stated,

A couple of members of the NXT roster have also told us that word is going around that if NXT cuts are coming, it could be in January or early February.

It is not known at this time who in NXT could be on the chopping block. Whether that is someone we see on NXT television or someone training at the Performance Center who they feel is not progressing how they would like.
