**UPDATE** Angel Garza Suffers Injury During Clash Of Champions Match

September 27, 2020 0 By Tim Jarrell

Update: According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Johnson reports that the injury to Garza may have been a hip injury and not a leg injury. Johnson also states that Garza needs to be further evaluated, but it is not believed to be as serious as initially feared.

Original Story: The Lothario injured during the RAW Tag Title match.

Tonight at the Clash Of Champions pay-per-view we saw a match for the RAW Tag Team Championships. The match saw The Street Profits defending against Angel Garza and Andrade. Yet the match did not go on as planned and had to have the finished rushed after Garza suffered a leg injury.

At one point in this match, Angel Garza blocked a kick from Montez Ford, Garza hit Ford with a knee and then imminently fell to the mat. From this point on Garza was unable to point any amount of weight whatsoever on his left leg and grabbed his quad multiple times before tagging in Andrade and rolling out of the ring.

Now we hear at PWUnlimited were told by one source backstage that Garza may have suffered a quad injury in the match. The match then went straight to the finish to get medical personnel to Garza as quickly as possible.

When Garza fell to the mat in this match you do see the referee throw up the “X” to inform those in the back that an injury has occurred. This also led to the match going straight to the finish at that moment. Yet it did not work our right as Dawkins hit Andrade with his finish and went for the pin. Yet as the referee counted to three Andrade kicked out at two. It seemed as if Andrade did not know they were ending the match.
